Newton Ridge Plus II Waterproof

My son was never a fan of boots given his foot size as they were usually heavy and uncomfortable. Not these! Comfortable, waterproof, not heavy, and just the right height. Plus the brown color is gorgeous.

I previously tried my usual size, a size 16 medium width, boot from Columbia, and it was too snug. This size 17 medium width is roomier, just right for easy hikes, with a single pair of thick socks. I would say these Columbia boots tend to run a bit small. DH

The boots are perfect. My son's feet are wide. Even ordering the wide width was not enough to accomodate his bunions. We are sad to have to return and start over looking again.

They are great shoes. Sturdy and comfortable. They get though all kinds of Chicago and long days that can be 16 hours and 15,00 steps.
