Bought these to replace a worn out set I've owned for 15 years. Best decision of my trip. I went to Durango CO for daily hikes of 10 miles plus each day - plus a day trip to Moab. In Moab we hiked ~15 miles and the temp was peaking at 103. In Durango we were crossing streams and going up over 1000 ft in elevation per mile in rocky terrain. These were comfortable the WHOLE time, stayed dry, and didn't have any rips/tears/broken off rubber off the sole - nothing. The kicker - I only had time to wear them for one day before taking the trip - no blisters or sore spots from the wear. As always, wear good wool sock - but these boots impressed me. Worth the price!

While volunteering in a food kitchen feeding the homeless, there was this tall gentleman wearing bright red tennis shoes. I asked his shoe size and he said "16 Wide" but all the S.Army had available was size 15 M. He wasn't wearing socks and it was a very cold morning. Within about 15 minutes we found the Big Shoes site and was able to pick out and order this man some shoes. They arrived within a week, and the fit was perfect. It's now been 2 weeks, with temps in low 30's these shoes arrived just in time, he wears them almost 24/7.

I love them. I just wish there were more choices in color and that these shoes were not out of stock so often in my size (16).
